Hot Ham n Cheese Sliders

Easy Game-Day Food That Lets You Enjoy the Moment Too

Prep: 10 minutes
Ready in: 30 minutes
Servings: 6

These pull-apart sliders are always a hit — whether it’s game day, movie night, or one of those evenings when dinner just needs to show up.

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp (45 mL) butter

  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) Dijon mustard

  • 1 tsp (5 mL) Worcestershire sauce

  • 2 tsp (10 mL) Rosemary Herb Seasoning Mix

  • 12 classic dinner rolls

  • 4–5 oz (125–150 g) thinly sliced cooked ham

  • 6 slices gouda cheese

  • 24 dill pickle slices

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Microwave the butter in a small microwave-safe bowl for 30–45 seconds, or until melted. Whisk in the brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and Rosemary Herb Seasoning Mix.

  3. Brush half of the butter mixture onto the bottom of a deep covered baker.

  4. Use a bread knife to slice the dinner rolls in half. Place the bottom halves into the baker (you can trim or tuck as needed).

  5. Layer the ham over the rolls, followed by the cheese and pickle slices. Add the top buns.

  6. Brush the remaining butter mixture over the tops of the buns. Cover with the lid.

  7. Bake for 12 minutes, then remove the lid and bake an additional 5–7 minutes, or until the tops are lightly browned and the cheese is melted.

  8. Serve warm and enjoy.

Cook’s Tip

We love gouda with ham in this recipe, but feel free to switch it up. Muenster or Monterey Jack work beautifully — and this is just as good with turkey if that’s what you have on hand.

A Little Kitchen Truth Before You Go

This is what a win looks like in my kitchen these days.

Not elaborate.
Not overthought.
Just food that fits the moment and lets me be part of it.

If cooking has felt heavy lately, let this be your reminder:
easy still counts.

And sometimes, the best meals are the ones that leave room for laughter, conversation, and actually sitting down together.

You’re always welcome at my table.
